(Press release 5D Initiative:) Stuttgart, Germany, 21 April 2011 - The 5D Initiative, which was established by Ballast Nedam, Royal BAM Group, Consolidated Contractors Group S.A.L. - Offshore (CCC), Max Bögl and Strabag, today announced that collaboration with Autodesk, Bentley, CCT, RIB and Tekla is moving forward to incorporate pragmatic requirements for a 5Di solution, which is the amplification of BIM solutions for contractors to ensure higher process integration from very early design, engineering, fabrication and construction to operation & maintenance. The 5D Initiative was launched in 2008 with the goal of describing common requirements of the European construction industry for the development of new innovative tools by the hard and software industry. Since 2008, the 5D Initiative has had several discussions with Autodesk, Bentley, CCT, RIB and Tekla to recognize and analyze the requirements of the more advanced and fully-integrated 5D solutions. Based on the shared requirements from the 5D Initiative and the strategic discussions so far, Autodesk, Bentley, CCT, RIB, Tekla and the 5D Initiative have reached a common understanding about BIM for construction. This led to a plan for taking the existing cooperation to the next level with the goal of fulfilling needs of construction process integration in construction practice.

London 7 April 2011 - Royal BAM Group companies in the UK are reporting strong performances for the year ending 31 December 2010. The combined turnover for BAM Construct UK, BAM Nuttall and BAM PPP amounts to £1.79 billion with a combined pre-tax profit £36.7million. This represents a margin of more than 2.0% - one of the best in the sector.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 16 March 2011 - BAM International, the operating company of Royal BAM Group active outside Europe, has won in a (50/50) joint venture with Stefanutti Stocks (a large construction group from South Africa) the contract to construct 37 navigation aid structures and two mooring dolphins in Pepel (close to Sierra Leone’s capital Freetown) on the Sierra Leone river.

Hemel Hempstead, 9 March 2011 - Groundwork Wales has certified BAM Construction as a level-five company on its Green Dragon Environmental Standard. The ranking is the highest possible and places BAM - which has offices in Cardiff and Bristol - in the best performing eight per cent of members alongside organisations such as the National Assembly for Wales.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 4 March 2011 – Hochtaunus Kliniken GmbH in Bad Homburg has awarded a PPP contract for the construction of two new hospitals to a Yolande Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH & Co Vermietungs KG and BAM joint venture. This DBFM – design, build, finance and maintenance – contract for the two hospitals in Bad Homburg and Usingen, just north of Frankfurt, will run for a period of 25 years. The contract value for BAM is nearly €200 million.

Hemel Hempstead, 4 March 2011 -  Refurbishment work at the new Union Society building for Newcastle University has reached a milestone 20,000 man hours.

Hemel Hempstead, 4 March 2011 – BAM Construction in London is set to deliver a new £22 million commercial office building in the heart of London’s Midtown area. Africa House, at 64 - 78 Kingsway, is a development by Daejan Investments, a part of The Freshwater Group of Companies, located close to Holborn tube station and close to Lincolns Inn Fields and the Royal Courts of Justice.

Mahieu be appointed to the Supervisory Board for a four-year period by the General Meeting on 20 April 2011, if the General Meeting does not make any other recommendations. The company warns that today an unknown third party has sent out a fake press release (in the Dutch language) at approximately 14.30 CET, which can be recognized by the dateline of 2 March 2011. This so-called press release contains incorrect and totally unjustified financial information.
