Fast growth of Tebodin in Eastern Asia: towards 400 employees

The Hague, the Netherlands, 8 November 2011 – Since Tebodin’s establishment in 2004 in China, the consulting and engineering firm has seen a rapid growth in South Asia and the Asia Pacific region. The offices in China, Vietnam, Indonesia and India totally employ around 400 people. These Tebodin offices are working on various projects providing consultancy and engineering services to a growing number of clients. Services ranging from studies, site search, assessments, due diligence, permitting, procurement, basic and detail design to project management and construction management.

Tebodin China consists of offices in Shanghai and Guangzhou in Southern China. With a total staff of around 160 people, Tebodin China works for multinational clients especially in the chemical sector, automotive and food/pharma industry, such as Cabot, Nuplex, DSM, Evonik, Taminco, BMW, Cargill, Heineken and Landbeck. Especially the EPCm/PCm project, the conceptual design, basic design and FEED (Front End Engineering Design) of complex chemical plants are appreciated by the clients.

In Ho Chi Minh City Tebodin Vietnam – established in 2009 - is working with a staff of 60 people. EPCm projects are realized for Bunge (a soya oil crushing plant) and for animal feed producer De Heus. Repeated service is being executed for Procter & Gamble and Akzo Nobel. Recently, projects for DSM,  Schneider and InBev brewery have been awarded.

Indonesia is the youngest addition to the worldwide Tebodin network with an office in Jakarta since May 2011. Tebodin Indonesia employs around 20 staff now and is working on projects for multinational clients AkzoNobel Paints, Cabot, Knauf Gypsum, Huntsman and OCI Melamine.

Tebodin India will relocate to a bigger office in Chennai to accommodate the total staff of 168. At the moment two big EPCm projects in the automotive market – for Michelin and Gestamp and Sungwoo – are in progress.  Examples of clients in chemical, health and nutrition market Tebodin India works for are Bayer, Vopak and Cargill.

With a total staff of 1,200 in the Middle East, Tebodin is about to reach 1,600 people in Asia.
