Everyone Safe and Well Every day

At BAM, we are committed to Building a sustainable tomorrow - and that commitment begins with ensuring that every colleague returns home safe and well every day. Safety and wellbeing is not just a priority; it is a fundamental part of who we are and how we work. Our dedication to safety extends beyond the physical - it is also about fostering a /node/4612workplace where people feel psychologically safe, empowered, and supported.

Everyone Safe and well Every Day

Over the past years, we have proven our ability to change for the better, driving sustainability and innovation in our industry. Now, as we move forward together, we must continue to evolve and further strengthen our culture of safety. Safety is not separate from our strategy - it is at the heart of it. To reinforce our commitment to safety and wellbeing, we focus on the key principles of hazard prevention, risk awareness, and accountability. Everyone at BAM has a responsibility to follow best practices, help others do the same, and hold each other accountable. So that, at BAM we ensure zero lives are lost and zero injuries caused every day.

True safety is not just about rules - it is about culture. Our BAM Values - Sustainable, Inclusive, Reliable, Ownership, and Collaborative - guide our approach to safe and well. Safety is a collective effort: by working together, looking out for each other, and fostering a culture of trust, we ensure that everyone feels safe, valued, and respected. Accountability is key. There are consequences for not prioritising safety, just as there are recognitions for those who actively contribute to a safe and well workplace. Safety and wellbeing must be lived, not just spoken about. By embedding it into our daily behaviours and decisions, we create an environment where safety and wellbeing is second nature.

Safety is at the core of sustainability. A sustainable future is one where people thrive - not just through the projects we create but in the communities we support and create and also in the way we work together. A safer BAM is a stronger BAM, one that continues to evolve, innovate, and build a future where wellbeing is as critical as efficiency and progress. We challenge the status quo by constantly asking: What if we could create a worksite where every risk is anticipated and prevented? What if psychological safety was as ingrained as physical safety? What if we led the industry in setting new safety standards?

At BAM, we believe that the future is ours to make. And to build a sustainable tomorrow, we must ensure that safety is embedded in everything we do.

Let’s stand together.

Everyone Safe and Well Every day.

Life Saving Rules

The Life Saving Rules define our six essential safety rules designed to prevent serious injuries and fatalities at BAM. These rules are specific, non-negotiable, and address the highest-risk activities we encounter. Only by respecting and consistently following them together can we ensure a safe workplace.
