BAM’s transformation centres on sustainability in markets where it is looking to differentiate from competition on product and process leadership and strong relationships with clients. BAM will target markets where prioritisation of innovation and sustainability can flourish, enabling transformation within the portfolio. A key initiative in the division Netherlands is to increase the number of biobased, industrialised Flow homes within residential.
We are committed to continuously evolve and will transform our products and services to become more digital, scalable and sustainable. We will direct these efforts to markets which benefit from our product and process leadership, and where we can leverage our strong client relationships.
To reach our ambitious decarbonisation targets, we lead the way by first decarbonising own operations, through means such as electrifying formerly petrol-driven equipment and using hyodrogen fuelled equipment. Becoming a leading example, we will continue to work with our supply chain to ensure they do the same.
Building on our tradition of constructing in an industrialised manner, the Flow concept proves that building affordable housing, off-site and in wood instead of concrete, is possible. It has 65% lower emissions during construction and 30% lower emissions during production.
With the Sunderland Station project for Network Rail, we showcased our cross-divisional offering by providing a comprehensive service, combining the capabilities of Nuttall and Construct. We were also able to use our local knowledge to involve local contracts in the project. This project was delivered within 18 months and will see around 2 million visitors passing through each year.
