Extension Tanzam Highway project (Tanzania) for BAM International
Bunnik, the Netherlands, 3 October 2011 - BAM International, the operating company of Royal BAM Group active outside Europe, has together with the Danish contractor Per Aarsleff won an extension for a road contract in Tanzania. The value of the new contract is €38.5 million.
The contract is for section 4 of the Tanzam Highway. The joint venture is currently completing the renovation of a 150-kilometre stretch between Iyovia and Iringa. Section 4 is the stretch between Iringa and Mafenga and has a length of 68 kilometres. The client is the Tanzania National Roads Agency, Tanroads, and the project is supported by the Danish government. This variation order will take 22 months to complete.
