In 2013, Susan, an architect from Damascus, fled Syria with her two children after her husband was kidnapped during escalating conflict. Seeking safety, they returned to the UK, where she faced the challenges of starting anew. Her Syrian qualifications weren't recognized, and the path to continue as an architect was blocked. Determined, she pursued a Master's in BIM & Digital Construction at Salford University.
