Four separate contracts for Nuttall
The construction of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link has been divided into a number of separate contracts by the client Union Railways. Either alone or as part of a consortium, Nuttall is involved in projects on four sections of the line.
Contract 250, with a value of €177 million, is the largest of these. In joint venture with Kier, the group company is also building several structures near King's Cross [contract value €170 million]. Two smaller projects have also been completed with a combined value of €27 million. This work mainly concerned the rerouting of cables and pipes and the removal of old gas holders near St Pancras.
