Making social housing more sustainable requires significant investment. Fortunately, there are subsidy schemes available to support housing associations in reducing tenants' energy costs and achieving climate goals. For example, the Bouwstroom Renovation & Sustainability partnership, with BAM Wonen as one of its construction partners, recently received €11 million from the MEER scheme to efficiently enhance the sustainability of 2,300 homes in the Haaglanden region.
