Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, 8 March 2017 - BAM International celebrates International Women’s Day 2017 themed ‘#Be bold for change’ on one of its current construction projects: Terminal III of Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam. The objective of the event is to encourage women to step up a career in the construction industry.
Guest of Honour is Honourable Angela Kairuki, Minister of State in the President’s Office (Public Service Management and Good Governance). Eric van Zuthem, BAM International’s Area Director Africa and African Business Development Managers Kate O’Connell and Noreen Mazalla will showcase how BAM is committed to elevating women in management and all types of work.

Successfully completed projects in Africa include two large road works in Tanzania, the rehabilitation of Julius Nyerere International Airport Terminal 2 in Dar es Salaam, New berths at Point Port of Durban, a dry bulk terminal jetty at Richards Bay, Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg and Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth, the international airport in Harare, Tema Port and several road projects in Ghana, a quay wall and a breakwater for Limbe ship yard in Cameroon, jetty renovation in Pepel and the construction of a petroleum jetty for Oryx in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
We are currently constructing a new terminal at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam and rehabilitating Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania.
