BAM Nuttall starts construction Luton Dunstable Busway
Bunnik, The Netherlands, 10 June 2010 - BAM Nuttall Ltd, the British civil engineering specialist of Royal BAM Group, has started the construction of the 13.4 kilometre long Luton Dunstable Busway. The contract value for BAM Nuttall amounts to more than € 55 million (more than £ 50 million). Client is Luton Borough Council.
The Luton Dunstable Busway is expected to be completed in 2012. The route largely follows a former railway line. The new bus lane will provide a fast and reliable public transport connection between the centres of Dunstable and Luton as well as Luton Airport.
