FCI Constructors lands two first place AGC Build San Diego Awards

Longmont, CO, November 2, 2005 – The San Diego Chapter of the Associated General Contractors recognized FCI Constructors with two first place Build San Diego awards during an awards banquet held on Thursday, October 20.

Each winning project — the new North Torrey Pines Bridge on Highway 101 and the La Jolla Cove Wall and Bluff Improvements at the beach in La Jolla — brought home the top award in their respective categories, Heavy/Highway and Unique Small Public Project. The projects were chosen by a panel of four judges for their excellence in project management, innovation in construction techniques or materials, excellence in client service, contractor’s contribution to the community, and meeting the challenges of a difficult job.

FCI President Tom Rademacher and former FCI President John Nelson joined project managers Kurt Hindman and Mario Martinez and superintendents Donnie Riese and Roland Sarmiento in accepting FCI’s awards.
