Dungarvan Wastewater treatment plant (Ireland)
Ascon Ltd – the Irish operating company of Royal BAM Group – was awarded the Design Build and Operate contract for the Dungarvan wastewater treatment plant at the southern shore of Ireland.
The plant is the centrepiece of the overall sewerage scheme, which will transform water quality in Dungarvan Bay and its marine environs. Client is Waterford Co. Council. The €30 million project is co-funded by the Irish Ministry of Environment, Heritage & Local Government and the European Regional Development Fund.
