BAM Steel Structures has shipped out a jacket weighing 1,115 tonnes, destined for the Carrack QA Platform.
The structure, which is 42 metres tall, was tipped on its side at the yard in Schiedam, the Netherlands, by four floating cranes from Smit Heavy Lift and placed on a transport barge. The jacket has now been anchored to the sea bed in the southern part of the North Sea by four piles.
