Edmund Nuttall Ltd has received a major safety and environmental award from client Kimberley Clarke for its outstanding safety record whilst constructing an effluent treatment plant in Barrow in Furness.
This prize was part of an annual event at which awards are bestowed on the suppliers who are judged to have provided the highest quality service in a number of categories during the year. Nuttall maintained an unblemished safety record throughout the contract with no reportable accidents.
Kimberley Clarke’s European president presented the award in recognition of the fact that Nuttall personnel had exhibited a high level of safety awareness on site utilising the strictest safety procedures.
The project itself involved the construction of an effluent treatment plant valued at £3.5 million at Kimberley Clarke’s paper mill in Barrow in Furness. The civil works consisted of the construction of in-situ concrete tanks, associated pipework, channels, plant foundations, control building and landscaping.
