It is almost certainly the first underground children’s playground in the Netherlands. Royal BAM Group has converted an underpass in Amsterdam into a children’s paradise. TunFun has been fitted out with all sorts of play equipment, a mini-cinema, a café and even a children’s hairdresser.
Naturally there is also room to play football and other games. Covering the opening in the tunnel roof was the biggest building job. Providing emergency exits, surfacing the interior, building entrances and the mechanical and electrical installations were also part of the contract, which was worth around €1.3 million.
