BAM wins two university contracts in Germany with total value of €145 million

BAM verwerft twee opdrachten met gezamenlijke waarde van € 145 miljoen

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 23 February 2016 - BAM Deutschland AG (the German operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, specialising in general building projects) has acquired two contracts for university buildings in Düsseldorf and Cologne. In total the contract value is more than €145 million.

For the Heinrich Heine Universität Düsseldorf BAM Deutschland will construct a complex of three buildings with a total gross floor area of 38,000 sqm. The new building, designed by Hascher Jehle Projektgesellschaft, accommodates offices, laboratories and lecture halls, as well as central chemicals storage. The project value is more than € 85 million. Construction will start this month and are expected to be completed in early 2018.

At the University Hospital in Cologne BAM Deutschland will build a new oncology treatment center. The seven-story building, total gross floor area 37,000 sqm, was designed by medfacilities GmbH in cooperation with kadawittfeldarchitektur GmbH (design façade). The contract value is more than € 60 million. BAM expects to complete the project in August 2018.
