BAM wins contract for Emergency Services Centre in Leverkusen, Germany

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 22 July 2016 – BAM Deutschland AG (the German operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, specialising in general building projects) has won a contract to construct a Fire and Rescue Services Centre in Leverkusen (north of Cologne), with a contract value of approximately €40 million. This PPP contract is commissioned by Madora GmbH & Co. KG and funded by LHI Leasing GmbH. BAM Immobilien-Dienstleistungen GmbH will also be responsible for the facilities management of the Centre (‘Hauptfeuer- und Rettungswache’) for a 25 year period.

The Emergency Centre is designed by renowned architects Gatermann + Schossig in Cologne. The new building is 15,000 m2 and has room for 50 fire engines. The Centre provides office and living quarters for 130 employees and includes a control centre, training and fitness rooms and a workshop. BAM Deutschland AG will complete the Fire and Rescue Centre by the end of 2018.
