BAM appoints Director Human Resources

At BAM, Rob Zuidema will be responsible for – among other things – Group-wide learning and development, talent acquisition and talent management. Initially he will focus especially on the implementation of BAM’s 2016-2020 strategy through HR business processes (Target Operating Model), BAM’s position as employer of choice for the best tender and project managers (Project Olympus) and strengthening BAM’s company culture.

When Rob Zuidema joined Booking.com in December 2008, the company employed approximately 750 people, mostly in Europe. Over the past seven years staff numbers rose to over 11,000 and the company operated more than 175 offices worldwide. Previously he was Human Resources Manager for Shell’s ‘Upstream’ division, which focuses on exploration and the excavation of oil and gas. He spent almost three years as HR Director Netherlands with international design and engineering consultants Arcadis and also held senior HR positions with Vodafone and the Dutch public broadcasting agency, NPO.

Rob Zuidema has a degree in sociology from the University of Amsterdam.
