Accelerating Progress
Housing association Portaal and seven construction chain partners are taking an important step in accelerating, making more sustainable, and keeping housing construction affordable. Together with seven construction partners – BAM Wonen, elk®, ERA Contour, Veluwezoom Verkerk, Trebbe Group, Van Wijnen and Van Dillen Bouwgroep – Portaal is extending a long-term chain collaboration agreement until 2030. This extension strengthens the unique partnership and marks the beginning of a new chapter in tackling the housing crisis.
Joint investment for satisfied residents
The chain collaboration began in 2020 for an initial five-year period. During that time, significant joint investment was made in new builds, renovation, and sustainability improvements. In the coming years, partners will continue to work intensively to help resolve the housing crisis by constructing 1,000 new homes per year and renovating 1,800 homes (1,300 annually plus 500 with EFG energy labels per year until 2028), while also ensuring resident satisfaction with quality living spaces. Property developments and projects within the collaboration are a vital link in achieving this.
