Shore power at Passenger Terminal Amsterdam

A major step towards cleaner air and quieter quays in the heart of Amsterdam: the shore power installation at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam (PTA) is now operational. BAM Infra Nederland delivered this project in collaboration with PowerCon. Sea and river cruise ships can now switch off their engines while docked and connect to sustainable electricity from the grid. That means: lower emissions, less noise, and a more pleasant environment for both residents and visitors to the city.
