Accelerating towards an emission-free construction site with new electric equipment

At BAM Infra Nederland, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Our ultimate goal is to create a fully sustainable construction site where zero-emission equipment is the standard, significantly reducing our environmental impact. The recent additions of a large electric excavator and the first of four electric bitumen sprayers mark important steps in that direction — but they are just part of a much bigger picture.

Innovation and Technology as the Driving Force

The path to a sustainable construction site is paved with innovation and technology. The DX165W-Electric excavator, developed by Electric Construction Equipment and procured by BAM Infra Materieel, along with the new electric bitumen sprayers, are prime examples of how advanced technologies contribute to our sustainability goals. Each bitumen sprayer saves approximately 16,000 litres of diesel per year, while the excavator saves around 22,500 litres annually. These machines not only reduce fossil fuel consumption and cut CO₂ emissions — they also enhance efficiency and safety on site. This is a crucial part of our broader vision to transform the construction industry.
