Festive start of construction for 93 apartments at Landgoed Wickevoort in Haarlemmermeer

The construction of 93 sustainable apartments has begun at Landgoed Wickevoort in Haarlemmermeer, contributing to a larger eco-friendly residential development of 850 homes. The project prioritises social housing, community living, and environmental responsibility. Het Hoofdgebouw, the tallest building with five floors, will include 188 solar panels, individual heat pumps using a thermal energy storage system, and green façades. Biodiversity is also considered, with nesting boxes for swifts and bats, as well as insect hotels.

Developed by Eigen Haard and AM, this project integrates sustainability with social cohesion, offering homes for diverse groups, including vulnerable adults. The initiative aligns with Haarlemmermeer’s broader ambition to build 20,000 homes by 2040 while maintaining a strong focus on ecological balance. Completion of Het Hoofdgebouw is expected in summer 2026.
