For the sixth consecutive year, Royal BAM Group has been named to the prestigious ‘A List’ by CDP, a leading global environmental non-profit. This recognition underscores BAM’s consistent leadership in corporate transparency and performance on climate change.
Among almost 25,000 companies assessed by CDP, approximately 400 received an ‘A’ rating, reaffirming BAM’s position among the global leader in climate action and sustainability. CDP’s standards, which follow the guidelines of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), encourage climate-aware choices for investors and procurement teams worldwide.
Ruud Joosten, CEO of Royal BAM Group: ‘We are proud to be on CDP's A-list for the sixth consecutive year, reflecting BAM’s strong commitment to climate leadership. Sustainability is at the core of our strategy, and we have made significant progress by electrifying our machinery fleet, adopting bio-based materials, and investing in innovations such as our FLOW sustainable wooden housing concept and low-emission GREENR concrete. While there is still work to do, I am confident in our future goals and ambitions.’
BAM’s inclusion on the A List aligns with its broader sustainability strategy. Recently, BAM’s updated carbon reduction targets were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The company aims for a 90% reduction in CO2 intensity for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 (compared to 2015 levels) and is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
