Bunnik, the Netherlands, 3 June 2020 – Mr R. Vollebregt MRICS, member of the Executive Committee of Royal BAM Group nv as COO for the business line Civil engineering, has announced that he wishes to pursue his career outside BAM.
The Executive Board is very grateful to Mr Vollebregt for his dedication and significant contribution to BAM since joining the Group in 1999, especially in his role as chairman of the management board of BAM Vastgoed, AM and BAM Bouw en Vastgoed, respectively. In difficult market conditions, he led these companies and built them into successful Group entities.
Roel Vollebregt: ‘BAM is a magnificent company with enormous expertise and experience, delivering sustainable projects. It was a privilege to have been involved in many projects, including the urban redevelopment Gasthuiskwartier in Den Bosch, the art depot for Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and the Zalmhaven project, both in Rotterdam. BAM will enter a new strategic period this year under a new CEO and this is the right time for me to take on a new challenge outside BAM. I am very grateful to BAM and all colleagues for more than twenty fascinating and inspirational years, and I wish all BAM employees success for the future.’
The Executive Board has started the selection procedure for the new COO for the Civil engineering business line. Until a successor is appointed, Simon Finnie (Chief Business Excellence Officer and member of the Executive Committee) will serve as COO - Civil engineering on an interim basis.
As of 3 June 2020, the Executive Committee of Royal BAM Group will consist of Frans den Houter (CFO/interim CEO), Joost Nelis (COO - Construction and Property), Simon Finnie (Chief Business Excellence Officer/interim COO - Civil engineering) and Sven Van de Wynkele (Chief HR Officer).
