Bunnik, the Netherlands, 21 February 2017 – The Supervisory Board of Royal BAM Group nv announces that Mr P.A.F.W. Elverding and Mr J.-P. Hansen will step down as members of the Supervisory Board after the annual general meeting on 19 April 2017.
Baron J.-P. Hansen will step down as a member of the Supervisory Board in connection with the end of his term of appointment. Mr Hansen has informed the Supervisory Board that he is not available for reappointment. If the general meeting does not put forward any recommendations to fill this vacancy, the Supervisory Board intends to nominate Mrs H. Valentin, Chief Operating Officer, Watson Internet of Things at IBM Corporation, for appointment to the Supervisory Board for a period of four years by the annual general meeting on 19 April 2017. Based on her longstanding career in senior management roles at IBM Corporation, Mrs Valentin has extensive experience and expertise regarding digital innovation, as well as the related transformation of business models. Mrs Valentin has the Danish nationality and lives and works in Germany.
Mr P.A.F.W. Elverding has informed the Supervisory Board that he has decided to retire of the Supervisory Board for health reasons after the annual general meeting on 19 April 2017. The Supervisory Board deeply regrets this. He then will be succeeded as chairman by Mr H.L.J. Noy. The Supervisory Board has started the search for candidates to fill the vacancy, which is left by the retirement of Mr Elverding.
In a press release of 19 January 2017, the Supervisory Board has already announced that Mr H. Scheffers will step down and that Mr G. Boon will be nominated to fill this vacancy.
