Maastricht, the Netherlands, 28 November 2017 - Brightlands Chemelot has appointed BAM Bouw en Techniek to deliver two multi-tenant buildings on its campus in Sittard-Geleen, situated in the southeastern part of the Netherlands. BAM has already started with some engineering work. The construction will start in January 2018 and will take a year. The contract value is €26 million.
The project contributes to Brightlands Chemelot Campus’ ambition to further develop its rapidly growing, dynamic environment. The buildings form a flexible working environment for, among other things, scale ups and stimulating meetings and exchanges. In total both buildings will provide approximately 18,000 m2 of offices, laboratories and teaching and meeting rooms.
Both buildings are based on one basic design that is mirrored. BAM is responsible for the engineering and construction of both buildings. There is one BAM project team that takes care of the integral engineering of construction and M&E works. Therefore, the construction can take place in a particularly short time.
