BAM wins office contract in Berlin
Bunnik, the Netherlands, 10 August 2015 – BAM Deutschland, the German construction company of Royal BAM Group nv, has won a contract for the construction of the East Side Office (phase 1) which is part of the Postbahnhof project in Berlin. The client is NDC Real Estate Management GmbH. The contract value is over € 20 million. The construction works have started. BAM Deutschland expects to complete the office in early 2017.
The Postbahnhof Berlin development includes three projects, located along the Mühlenstraße and next to the former rail transport facilities of German Mail. All projects have unobstructed views of the Spree River. In addition to office space Postbahnhof Berlin will also offer apartments and hotel facilities.
The East Side Office has been designed by Thomas Müller of Ivan Reimann Architekten. BAM has commissioned the detailed design from WEP-Effingner Partner Architekten. The project includes the construction of underground parking and six to nine office floors with a total floor area of approximately 14,500 m2.
