ProRail and BAM sign contract rail track doubling project between Utrecht Central Station and Utrecht Leidsche Rijn

Utrecht, the Netherlands, 4 November 2015 - ProRail (the Dutch rail infrastructure manager) and BAM Infra have signed an agreement for the rail extension between Utrecht Leidsche Rijn and Utrecht Central Station. The doubling is the final part of the ‘VleuGel / Randstadspoor’ project. BAM will start the construction activities in mid 2016. The track will be available for passenger trains at the end of 2018. The contract value amounts to € 47.8 million.
