Senior appointment at BAM FM
Hemel Hempstead, 22 August 2012 - BAM FM has appointed Simon Barnes as its head of Business Development. He takes up the newly created position which managing director Kath Fontana says is closely aligned to business development strategy within BAM FM. Simon Barnes, who has joined BAM FM from Mitie, will lead the business development team and has a background in developing and securing contracts across many different sectors.
He says: ‘I believe that, with our national coverage, ethical values and commitment to deliver exceptional customer service, we at BAM FM are well positioned to win and deliver high quality facilities management contracts across the UK. My ambition is to make sure BAM FM can compete on a truly national scale.’
BAM FM’s managing director Kath Fontana added: ‘I am delighted Simon has joined the team. He brings with him a passion for developing creative solutions which will enable us to build a great new platform for growth based on our strong foundations. With this alignment of our newly positioned business development team our clients can expect a fresh approach to operational delivery together with agile commercial models.’
BAM FM is a pioneer of innovative building management using BIM (building information modelling), and has recently been accepted as a RICS regulated firm. It employs over 800 people.
Simon forms part of the senior management team at BAM FM and will be based out of its office at Breakspear Park, Hemel Hempstead.
