Bunnik, 21 January 2014 – BAM Techniek (the Dutch operating company of Royal BAM Group nv specialising in mechanical and electrical engineering) and the joint venture partner BAM Deutschland has won a € 6 million contract for the installation of sanitary facilities in a hospital in Heilbronn, located between Frankfurt and Stuttgart. BAM Techniek will carry out the work in cooperation with BAM Deutschland, which is responsible for constructing the concrete works for the healthcare complex.
BAM Deutschland has been awarded by SLK-Kliniken Heilbronn GmbH to construct the concrete works for a new hospital with a gross floor area of over 80,000 m². BAM Techniek will install all sanitary facilities in the 8-story building. The work includes the installation of 58,000 metres of drinking-water pipeline, 15,000 metres of sewage and rainwater drainage pipeline and the installation of 800 toilets, 1,000 washbasins and 400 showers, among other things. The work has since started and is planned for completion in December 2015.
This is BAM Techniek’s first large contract in Germany. This step outside the Dutch market is in line with Royal BAM Group’s strategic policy aimed at providing a comprehensive package of services and fields of expertise in each of the company’s domestic markets as a means of enabling it to realise multidisciplinary projects anywhere.
