Hemel Hempstead, 22 March 2013 - BAM Properties has secured a tenant for its 30,000 sq ft 930 Aztec West development in Bristol. The developer has let the three-storey building to digital media giant Nvidia on a ten-year lease at £18.50 per sq ft. It is the largest letting in Bristol this year.

Nvidia joins an enviable list of clients utilising BAM’s self-designed buildings, such as Npower, Prupim, BSkyB, ArcelorMittal and M&G. It will move staff from its current premises – also on the Aztec West business park – as well as create new jobs. It will begin fit-out work this month and move into the building in August, eventually housing more than 200 people there.

The building has a BREEAM rating of Very Good and an Energy Performance Asset Rating of B. It has highly efficient plant and has been designed to exceed current legislation on conservation of fuel and power, meaning lower energy costs for Nvidia.

BAM Properties’ development director Martin Hill said: ‘Securing a global corporation such as Nvidia underlines the quality of the building we have provided and is consistent with the blue chip occupiers we have attracted to our buildings elsewhere in the country. This deal shows that BAM creates buildings suitable for the biggest and the best companies in the world.’

The agents for BAM were Hartnell Taylor Cook and for Nvidia, James Lang LaSalle.

Aztec West business park, located near the M5 and Bristol Parkway railway station, contains more than 100 companies employing in excess of 6,000 staff.

Other recent developments by BAM Properties include an extensive refurbishment of 131-133 Princes Street in Edinburgh; creation of 143,000 sq ft of Grade A office space at 110 Queen Street in Glasgow; and the six-storey Chiswick Green project in West London.
