Stepps, Glasgow, 6 November 2013 - BAM Construction Scotland has appointed Steven Brady to the new post of preconstruction director. Formerly commercial manager for East Scotland since 2010, Steven Brady has worked for the company for more than 18 years.
In his new role he will be responsible for managing all PQQs (pre-qualification questionnaires) and tendering services, as well as liaison for the Hub frameworks with which BAM is involved.
Steven Brady, who lives in Murieston, West Lothian, is Head of the RICS QS and Construction Professional Group Board for Scotland.
Doug Keillor, regional director for BAM Construction Scotland, said: ‘With imminent legal changes about to be introduced to the procurement sector in Scotland combined with the level of detail required for tenders today, Steven’s new role will be key in our overall business development strategy.’
Based in Stepps, BAM Construction is active in all areas of property construction, particularly in the education and healthcare sectors. The company was also responsible for the internationally acclaimed Zaha Hadid-designed Riverside Museum in Glasgow and the £18 million refurbishment of Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in Glasgow.
