Large jetty contract for BAM in Malaysia
Bunnik, the Netherlands, 4 August 2011 – BAM Malaysia, together with the Australian construction company McConnell Dowell and the Malaysian contractor See Yong & Son, has been awarded a design and construct contract for a jetty in Malaysia for Vale SA, the world's largest iron ore exporter.
The contract value amounts to more than EUR 160 million, of which BAM has a share of 40 percent. It will take the joint venture 24 months to complete the structure.
BAM Malaysia is a subsidiary of BAM International, the operating company of Royal BAM Group nv, executing construction projects outside Europe.
