Camberley, 10 May 2011 - BAM Nuttall is delighted to announce a number of new appointments within our three businesses operating in the Scottish market. These new appointments reflect BAM Nuttall’s continued commitment to expand our market share in Scotland and to play a central role in delivering complex projects in our principal local market sectors of civil engineering, geotechnical engineering and rail.
Ian Dalgleish is appointed Operations Director with overall control of our BAM Nuttall Scotland and BAM Ritchies business units. Ian has been the Director and General Manager for BAM Ritchies for over 22 years managing significant, progressive and profitable growth in that period.
Jim Scobie, Divisional Director, retires from BAM Nuttall after 39 years with the business in Scotland. Having joined us as a graduate engineer on the Foyers Hydro Electric Project in 1972, Jim has since played a significant role in establishing our business as one of the premier civil engineering brands in Scotland.
Jim Anderson has been appointed Business Unit Manager for Scotland taking over from Jim Scobie. Jim Anderson brings over 25 years experience with BAM Nuttall and the wider Royal BAM Group both in the UK and overseas. Building on over 65 years dedicated to the Scottish market, the Scotland business unit will continue to focus on complex civil engineering projects in a range of sectors including transportation, marine, waste, energy and major projects.
Alasdair Henderson takes over as Operations Manager for BAM Ritchies, responsible for the ongoing growth and development of our specialist geotechnical business across the UK and internationally. Alasdair joined BAM Ritchies in 1996 and has been Engineering Manager since 2009. Already a familiar face to many of our customers, Alasdair will lead BAM Ritchies’ continued development through their involvement in high value added opportunities, promoting innovation in geotechnical design and delivery.
Nissar Mohammed will head up BAM Nuttall’s rail sector business covering Scotland and the North of England. Nissar has been dedicated to our rail sector business since 1999. He has played a leading role in the delivery of major projects across the UK, establishing BAM Nuttall as a leading multi-disciplinary delivery partner with Network Rail and other rail customers. He will be responsible for developing further our rail business in Scotland with a particular focus on the ongoing programme of investment including the Edinburgh Glasgow Improvement Programme and Borders Railway.
