BAM sells Fort Unitbouw to Jan Snel
Bunnik, The Netherlands, 29 August 2008 - Royal BAM Group nv is selling Fort Unitbouw, which is located in Raamsdonksveer, to the Jan Snel Group in Montfoort. Fort Unitbouw produces, sells and lets semi-permanent units, which are used for temporary accommodation by health and education services, for instance, as well as on construction sites. Fort Unitbouw employs around a hundred people.
Trade unions and the works council have been informed about the proposed sale.
BAM takes the view that the activities of Fort Unitbouw do not complement its other business activities sufficiently. The sale will have no material effect on the turnover or profit of BAM.
