Nuttall awarded large waste plant contract
Bunnik, Netherlands, 9 April 2008 - Edmund Nuttall Ltd - the British civil engineering specialist of Royal BAM Group nv - has been awarded a contract valued at more than €50 million (£41 million) by Donarbon Waste Management Ltd to design and construct a 'state of the art' Mechanical, Biological Treatment (MBT) Waste plant at its Waterbeach site, Cambridgeshire.
The plant forms part of Donarbon's PFI contract with Cambridgeshire County Council and will handle 170,000 tonnes of waste per annum, reducing the amount of material sent to landfill by 75 percent.
The contract period is 87 weeks with completion of construction in November 2009.
