BAM Construction preferred for construction of new Sutton Coldfield College

Colindale, London, 13 November 2008 - BAM Construction has been appointed by Sutton Coldfield College as the preferred contractor for its £44million Riverside Campus project. The company is now in negotiations with the College to discuss the successful delivery of the new campus which requires approval from the Learning and Skills Council before the project can go ahead.

Its work on Matthew Boulton and Joseph Chamberlain colleges. The Campus will comprise 22,300m sq on a brown field site and form a continuous spiral from four to six stories with an external glass envelope. It will feature a courtyard and have hard and soft landscaping. The project is scheduled to begin on site in April 2009 and complete at the end of 2010. The architects are Nicholas Hare and the structural engineers are BAM Design.
