Work underway on Dobbies at Southport
Work is now well underway on the £10m state-of-the-art Garden World at Bentham's Way in Southport. Set to open in March 2008, the roof of the building is in place and HBG Construction has now started work on the 5,000 m2 garden centre. The 6 hectare site, located on the eastern edge of the town, occupies a rural position within Sefton, Liverpool.
The new Garden World comprises an indoor and outdoor plant and gardening area, a Farm Foodhall and deli boasting locally-sourced fresh and organic produce, a specialist aquatics department, bath and home products, a large restaurant with conservatory, and a visitor attraction called The Greenhouse that will give visitors the opportunity to find out about plants.
