London, 16 October 2007 - HBG Construction was awarded Main Contractor of the Year at this years' prestigious Builder and Engineer awards.
Builder and Engineer said: 'HBG has proven itself as one of the most consistently profitable, safe and socially responsible major contractors of the past decade. Its performance climaxed in a record 45% profit increase this year.'
HBG also won the corporate social responsibility programme award and the safety on site award.
Steve Byrne, Regional Director of HBG Construction North West, based in Salford, said: 'We're delighted HBG's work has been recognized for three separate categories of award. Safety and corporate social responsibility are vital and valuable parts of construction and it is very pleasing that HBG’s work stood out in these respects.'
The awards were held at The Palace Hotel in Manchester on 10 October.
