Bunnik, Netherlands, 15 January 2007 – The Supervisory Board of Royal BAM Group nv announces that Mr A.J.D. Franklin, currently member of the Executive Board, will retire as per 8 May 2007.
Adrian Franklin (62) was appointed director of Interbeton in 1991. In 1994 he became director of Edmund Nuttall and in 1997 Chief Executive of HBG UK. In 2001 he was appointed member of the Executive Board of HBG (Chief Operational Officer Civil). Mr Franklin has been a member of the Executive Board of Royal BAM Group since November 2002.
The Supervisory Board of Royal BAM Group nv is proposing to appoint Mr P.B. Brooks member of the Executive Board with effect from 8 May 2007.
Peter Brooks (60) will join the Executive Board after the General Meeting of Shareholders which will take place on that date. Currently Mr Brooks is Chief Executive of Nuttall and Executive Chairman of HBG UK. Mr Brooks joined the Group in 1969 and has been a director of Nuttall since 1988, becoming managing director in 1993. Mr Brooks will be appointed for a period of four years. He is registered as a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (CEng, FICE), a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (FInstCES) and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (ACIOB).
The Supervisory Board of Royal BAM Group nv is also proposing to appoint Mr N.J. de Vries vice-chairman of the Executive Board with effect from 8 May 2007.
In 1977 Nico de Vries joined BAM and since then he has fulfilled several (project) management positions. In 1986 he was appointed deputy director, followed in 1990 by his appointment as director of BAM Utiliteitsbouw (non-residential building) in 1990 and then Infrastructure director of Royal BAM Group in 1995. Mr De Vries has been a member of the Executive Board of Royal BAM Group since 1998.
From 8 May 2007 the Executive Board of Royal BAM Group will consist of J.A.P. van Oosten (chairman), N.J. de Vries (vice-chairman), P.B.Brooks and J. Ruis (CFO).
