Walloon BAM subsidiary in talks about takeover of Balteau
Bunnik / Chaudfontaine, Belgium, 23 December 2005 – Galère SA (one of Royal BAM Group’s operating companies, active in general construction work and civil engineering in the Walloon Region of Belgium) is conducting talks about the takeover of Balteau SA, a company also operating in the Walloon Region.
Balteau specialises in designing and constructing electromechanical installations for purifying, treating and pumping water. The company was founded in 1978, has an annual turnover of more than €10 million and employs around sixty people.
Galère and Balteau have been collaborating on projects for waste water installations since 2000 and the takeover will strengthen Galère’s position in this market sector. Galère has over 800 employees and achieves a turnover of approximately €180 million.
