Cooling-water system for AVI-West Amsterdam
BAM Leidingen & Industrie and Tebodin, Consultants & Engineers, have jointly been awarded a contract for the design, procurement and installation of a cooling-water system for the expansion of the high-efficiency waste incineration plant AVI-West in Amsterdam. The contract value amounts to approximately € 10 million.
The consortium was awarded the contract due to the favourable financial alternative developed by Tebodin in the tendering process. Nelis Infra (together with De Ruiter Boringen en Bemalingen and BAM Leidingen & Industrie, both part of BAM Infratechniek) already dug the intake and outlet canals between the new cooling-water installation and the Afrikahaven over the past months. Tebodin and BAM Leidingen & Industrie will complete the project for the municipal waste-to-energy company Afval Energy Bedrijf in April 2006.
