Interbeton, in consortium with local partners, is putting the final touches to the construction of a quay wall in the South African port of Durban.
The 52 twin-chamber caissons have been placed in position on the bed of the bay, and mooring bollards, fenders and ladders are being attached to the cast-in-situ concrete capping beam. The area between the old and new quay walls is being filled with three million cubic metres of sand. The project will be finished in April.
