Royal BAM Group examines reports by NMa

Bunnik, Netherlands, 14 October 2004 – Royal BAM Group confirmed it has received two reports by the Netherlands Competition Authority (NMa) regarding violations of the Competitive Trading Act by business units in the civil engineering sector.

The two reports in question are NMa number 4155, on general violations within the sector and 3183, on violations with respect to large infrastructure projects.

In the weeks to come, Royal BAM Group will examine these reports and, based on the findings, provide information if necessary.

The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group has repeatedly expressed its deepest regrets on previous occasions, that not all of the business units have been adhering to the amended rules introduced in 1992. Since the end of 2001, the Group has upheld a comprehensive and explicit code of conduct, which was recently modified to conform to the branch organisation’s guidelines. Royal BAM Group is absolutely convinced that its employees abide the company’s code of conduct.
