Foundations have now been laid for HBG's latest contract at Bury College in Lancashire – a £2.1 million project for a new technology block on the town centre campus. Construction manager Ged Flanagan helped the college's acting principal Nancy Cookson lay the first foundations during a special ceremony at the site.
Due for completion in November this year, the new building will provide 2500 square metres of additional space for the college. This will house a range of technology-related subjects as well as providing improved facilitites for students and business clients. This is HBG's second project for Bury College in recent years. The Millennium Centre, a four-storey complex containing science laboratories, IT suites, media suits, classrooms and catering facilities, was completed last year.
