HBG Construction has been awarded a £6 million contract to provide further facilities at the City General Hospital in Stoke for North Staffordshire Hospital NHS Trust.
The project will provide a two-storey theatre and ward extension, with associated critical care unit, and a three-storey undergraduate medical school, in partnership with the University of Keele. Work on the year-long project is set to start in mid-November.
The award of this project represents further success for HBG Construction in the healthcare sector. The company is currently undertaking work at Wythenshawe Hospital, Hope Hospital in Salford, and Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool.
