Berlin / Frankfurt am Main, 23. Juni 2021 - HABAU Ges.mbH and Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG were awarded the main prize in the Digital & BIM category of the Solid BautechPreis Austria 2021 for the A10/A24 availability model project. Together with the partners of the Arge Havellandautobahn, Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau is constructing a total of around 64 kilometres of motorway between the Pankow interchange and the Neuruppin junction while the motorway remains in operation.
The complexity of the PPP project in terms of structure, the communication as a private public partnership, the use of BIM and the further development together with the client tipped the scales for the award. Jury chairman Prof. Wilhelm Reismann explained the decision: ‘Because you also have to realise that BIM is not just digitalisation, but the entire setting of large, complex projects and that will change massively once again in the next few years.’
The Solid BautechPrize Austria was awarded for the tenth time. The jury with Wilhelm Reismann (ÖIAV), Peter Spreitzer (Büro Acht), Paul Kubeczko (VÖB), Andreas Fromm (Asfinag), Alexander Specht (pro Projekt), Thomas Dorner (intrinsicon) selected the winners from over 40 entries.
This is the fourth time that the A10/A24 availability model project has won an award. So far, the project has won first place at the BIM Cluster Hessen 2019, 2nd place at the BAM DC Award 2019 and the Special Mention Award from buildingSMART International 2020.
