River deep
Construction is underway in Gateshead to provide a reclaimed river front for a new housing development overlooking the River Tyne at Dunston.
Edmund Nuttall has carried out extensive temporary works to provide access across deep foreshore silts. A tiled combi tubular piled wall and armour stone revetments will form the new river front.
Completion is expected in June 2002.
