Restoring Osborne House to its former glory. HBG Construction began work on renovating the 54 elevations of Osborne House, including towers, chapel and servants’ quarters, on behalf of English Heritage in February.
The walls are being thoroughly cleaned, followed by application of an anti-algae preparation and repair of any cracks in the rendering. They then receive a coat of paint. HBG Construction is also removing all the window sashes. The mahogany window frames are being repaired, painted and reglazed. The oak sills are also being refurbished. The contract value is €3.5 million.
